Moving Walkways

escalator

When did we become so pressed for time that someone had to modify the standard escalator to work in airports? Kind of like speed walking. And if you are on one, you better get moving or you are likely to get run over.

There are even 157 royalty free images of airports and escalators just on one site. Obviously my picture phone can’t do it justice.

Of course our friend wikipedia has a full description on moving walkways, including a spiral escalator.

I hadn’t even thought about advertising on escalators until I saw the link to a company on wikipedia called Escasite that specializes in escalator advertising.

  2. I think these moving walkways should all have a digital screen at the end of them that tells you how many calories you didn’t burn by taking the moving walkway instead of walking.
