Lost: Shiny Ladies Ring. Reward.
February 28, 2007 – 8:35 amIf you happen to be in Houston and happen to stumble upon a seemingly lonely, unclaimed, shiny, ladies platinum wedding ring waiting to be picked up and taken home, please give me a call to claim your reward.
As it turns out, my wife lost her ring somewhere in Houston yesterday while on a business trip. ugh.
My confidence level that the person that finds it will report it to the hotel where she most likely lost it? Well, lets just say it probably has about the same likelihood of being reported as my iPod that was lost and that I ended up replacing shortly thereafter when I suffered from iPod withdrawal.
Likelihood that the feeling of joy of a new shiny object will overpower their feeling of guilt by the person that finds the ring? Well, I’m hoping the person that finds the ring has a conciseness. Give me a call: 1-800-DONT-BE-A-THIEF.

Well, it’s been a week, so the chance that anything will turn up is pretty small.
We have to file a police report for our insurance, and supposedly the police monitor the standard places that someone would try to sell it and turn it into cash, such as pawn shops, shady jewelry businesses that would turn the other eye and sell it on consignment, etc, so there is still a possibility, but I’m not holding my breath.
