Technorati, Alexa or Snap showing an old thumbnail image of your blog?
November 30, 2007 – 11:21 amI was checking out my Technorati page and noticed they still had a thumbnail image from forever ago.
So I did a bit of searching on how to update the image, and, as it turns out, the image used to pulled from Alexa, but now is pulled from Snap.
It is pretty straightforward to update the thumbnail image in Alexa. Simply visit the detail page on Alexa, click on the “Update Thumbnail image” link and wait 48 hrs.
You can also check your site listing with Alexa. Here is my listing according to Alexa.
Alexa is tied into Zazzle to custom print a shirt with your ranking info. As it turns out, I have some room to grow.

On July 25th, 2007, Technorati changed the way thumbnails are captured and stored and now utilizes Snap.
Be sure to check out the Technorati, Alexa and Snap every month or so to update your blog thumbnail.
